But what dragged down a lot of stocks despite decent headline numbers were guidance and sentiment – items that speak to potential profitability issues down the road. The market is, of course, forever forward-looking, searching the horizon for the best earnings estimates.
This is the busiest week of the season, with over 800 companies expected to post their earnings and sales figures. Every industry will be well represented in the coming days. In terms of the number of releases, Technology will be most dominant.
